East Asian Conference on Algebraic Topology(EACAT)
- 12/01/2015 - 12/04/2015
The East Asian Conference on Algebraic Topology (EACAT) is a biannual conference on algebraic topology and its related topics in the whole fields of topology. The first EACAT was held at Seoul (Seoul National University) in 2007. Before then, the annual China-Japan-Korea(CJK) Conference had been held for a few years. In 2007 this conference was expanded to the East Asian Conference as a few more countries, Vietnam, Singapore, Taiwan, started to participate. The second EACAT was held at Singapore (National University of Singapore, 2008), the third was held at Hanoi (Vietnam National University, 2009), the fourth at Tokyo (University of Tokyo, 2011), the fifth at Beijing (Chinese Academy of Sciences, 2013). Traditionally, most speakers are invited speakers and each participating country has its representative as a member of the scientific committee. This year's EACAT6 is supported by National Institute of Mathematical Science (NIMS) of Korea, and also held at NIMS located at Daejeon. The foreign invited speakers are expected to arrive at Incheon Airport of Seoul on November 30th and move to Daejeon by airport limousine, which would take about two and half hours. Most participants will stay at Interciti Hotel.
