■ Overview The aim of this international workshop on mathematics education is to promote academic exchanges on 'the Future of Mathematics Education and Mathematics Education for the Future', in order to develop mathematics education for the changing world. This international workshop on mathematics education is aimed at researchers who wish to understand the latest trends of international research and research methodologies. The purpose of the workshop is to promote information exchanges and academic sharing, and to establish an international network among scholars, graduate students, teachers and institutional researchers. This three-day workshop will consist of with lectures, workshops, and poster presentations. Lectures Day 1, we will focus on different perspectives of how we see mathematical thinking and creativity. Day 2, we will explore instructional and assessment strategies to reflect mathematical thinking. And finally on Day 3, we will discuss new research methodologies for the previous discussions. Workshop We will organize a panel with editors of various journals (International Journal on Research in Undergraduate Mathematics Education, International Journal of Science and Mathematics Education). The panelists will explain the scope of their journal, and clarify how manuscripts are handled. Poster presentations Poster presentations also focus on the future of mathematics education and will be held on day 2 afternoon. Everyone who is interested in mathematics education including teachers, graduate and undergraduate students are encouraged to apply for this session. Presenters will have the opportunity to showcase their research work and get feedbacks and suggestions from our participants. All attendees at this workshop can submit research poster, and the best 10% of the poster presenters will be recognised with the outstanding poster presentation awards by KSME. * poster submission: http://ksme.info/online_submission/member/login.php And we will give opportunities for information exchanges with Coffee Breaks and Banquets. Coffee Breaks This is the time for sufficient rest time for next lectures as well as the time for discussion of the content about lectures. Further, you can share your own research interest with other researchers in this time. That is, you can talk about academic topics, methodologies with participants mutually. Banquet Banquet is scheduled to go dinner with participants and talk about the topic of this workshop together on 2nd day night. Since banquet is the night after of poster presentation, you can have a time to talk about your poster presentation with others. ■ Target audience Local and international undergraduate and graduate students, in-service teachers (kindergarten, elementary, secondary), scholars, researchers who are interested in mathematics education, research and methodology ■ Language: English ■ Invited speakers ⦁Chun-Yen Chang(National Taiwan Normal Univ., Taiwan) *Editor-in-Chief, Eurasia Journal of Mathematics, Science and Technology Education (SSCI) ⦁Nong Moon Hwang(Seoul National Univ., Korea) ⦁Hee Jeong Kim(Hongik Univ., Korea) ⦁Ji Eun Lee(Oakland Univ., USA) ⦁Mi Yeon Lee(Arizona State Univ., USA) ⦁Peter Liljedahl(Simon Fraser Univ., Canada) *Senior Editor of International Journal of Science and Mathematics Education ⦁Woong Lim(Univ. of New Mexico, USA) ⦁Karen Marrongelle(Portland State Univ., USA) *Co-Editor in Chief, International Journal for Research in Undergraduate Mathematics Education. ⦁Gwi Soo Na(Cheongju National Univ. of Education, Korea) ⦁Man Goo Park(Seoul National Univ. of Education, Korea) ⦁Chris Rasmussen(San Diego State Univ., USA) *Co-Editor in Chief, International Journal for Research in Undergraduate Mathematics Education. ⦁Wee Tiong Seah(Univ. of Melbourne.
