The 7th Jikji Workshop: Infinite Dimensional Analysis and Quantum Probability

07/23/2012 - 07/27/2012
Overview The workshop is the 7th series of the workshop with the same title focusing on various fields of mathematics related to quantum probability and infinite dimensional analysis. Traditionally, the workshop have been focusing on quantum stochastic calculus by Hudson/Parthasarathy and its corresponding white noise theory. However, due to a substantial amount of connection to other fields in recent year, the topics have been widened to include free probability, various notions of independences, spectral analysis of graphs, quantum walks and q-deformed probability and so on. The organizers hope that the workshop will provide an opportunity for the researchers in this field to gather together and share their research interests with possible further development of ongoing research. A word on the name of the workshop "Jikji" "Jikji" is the name of the oldest metal printed book in the world among existing books, which was made 78 years before Gutenberg in German had published 「The 42-line Bible, 1452-1455)」. It was registered to Memory of the World of UNESCO in SEP 4 2001. "Jikji" is the cultural symbol and the pride of "Cheongju", so the organizers named the workshop after this following the suggestions of participants of the previous workshops.
